Manage my limits

Play on your own terms

Last updated: September 6, 2026

United is built for Australian players who enjoy pokies and live tables as entertainment, not as income. This page sets out the tools we give you to keep play in check, the age rule that applies to everyone, and where to go if gambling stops feeling fun.

Every account at United sits on top of a set of controls you manage yourself. None of them are hidden behind a support ticket. You will find them in your account dashboard under a section called Responsible Gaming, and changes to tighten a limit apply immediately.

18+ only, no exceptions

United is restricted to players aged 18 and over. We ask for identity verification before withdrawals to confirm this, and any account found to belong to a minor is closed and funds are handled according to our terms. If you are buying a gift card or setting up an account for someone under 18, stop. This site is not for them.

Deposit limits

You can set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit cap in AUD from your account settings. Once set, a limit cannot be raised instantly. Increases go through a cooling-off period, usually 24 to 72 hours, so a bad night doesn't turn into a bigger one. Lowering a limit, on the other hand, takes effect straight away.

  • Daily, weekly and monthly caps, set independently
  • Instant reduction, delayed increase
  • Limits apply across PayID, POLi, card and crypto deposits alike
  • You can view your deposit history at any time inside your account

Reality checks

Turn on a reality check and United will pop up a session summary every 30, 60 or 90 minutes, whichever interval you choose. It shows time played and net win or loss so far. It's a small nudge, but it does the job: a lot of players lose track of session length once a live blackjack table or a bonus round gets going, and this brings it back into view without ending your session for you.

Timeouts and self-exclusion

If you need a short break, a timeout locks your account for a fixed window: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days are the standard options. You can't log in or deposit during that window, and there's no early exit button, that's the point.

For something longer, self-exclusion closes your account for 6 months, 12 months, or indefinitely. Marketing emails and bonus offers stop as soon as self-exclusion is active. If you reach out to our support team and mention self-exclusion, they are required to action it, not talk you out of it.

Where ACMA fits in

ACMA, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, regulates online gambling advertising and interactive gambling services as they apply to the Australian market. ACMA is not United's licensor. United's own licensing details are published in the site footer, and we'd rather you confirm them there than rely on anything stated on this page.

Building these tools into your routine

The tools work best when they're set before a session starts, not mid-way through one. A good pattern is to set a weekly deposit limit that matches money you'd spend on any other night out, turn on a 60-minute reality check, and treat any bonus funds from the /bonus/ page as part of that same budget rather than extra. Free spins and welcome offers always carry T&Cs, and none of them are a reason to deposit more than you'd planned to.

If you play on the move through our mobile app, the same limits apply across every device tied to your account. There's no separate mobile-only setting to worry about, and no way to reset a limit by switching from browser to app.

How old do I need to be to play at United?

You must be 18 or older to register or play at United. We verify age and identity before processing withdrawals.

Can I change my deposit limit at United straight away?

Lowering a limit is instant. Raising one goes through a cooling-off period, typically 24 to 72 hours, so it isn't a decision made in the heat of a session.

What's the difference between a timeout and self-exclusion?

A timeout locks your account for a short, fixed period, from 24 hours up to 30 days. Self-exclusion is longer term, from 6 months up to indefinite, and stops marketing contact too.

Where can I get free help if my gambling feels out of control?

Gambling Help Online offers free, confidential support 24/7. Call 1800 858 858 or visit https://www.gamblinghelponline.org.au/ for chat and counselling options.

Does ACMA license United?

No. ACMA regulates gambling advertising and interactive gambling services in the Australian market, it isn't United's licensor. United's licensing details are published in the site footer.
